The DVD is strong with this one...
Linking this because I'm a Star Wars geek and this is about the most fantastic thing mankind has produced in a while. Seriously.

Spam Turns 30
Least. Celebrated. Birthday. EVER!
The fact that so much of our overall e-mail correspondence is generic copy and that the vast majority of it is deleted without being read has to say something about us as a species, right?

Rudy, We Hardly Knew Ye
Apparently all the swag that a presidential campaign generates doesn't evaporate like that candidate's hopes and dreams do. Who knew?
Thinking about it, I'd imagine that if you marketed it virally well enough, you could actually make some profit on the Rudy 2008 gear. It'd be like a pet rock. So stupid and sad it's cool.

Hamsters in plastic balls...
On my way home from work tonight I stopped in at a Dollar store, which was crammed between a Taco Bell and a KFC, which were all, relatively, across the street from a Starbucks. This is the perfect lower-middle class trap. Americans try and save money by shopping at Dollar stores and eating at cheap fast food chains so they can afford to drink Starbucks on their morning commute. It's a cycle, it sucks, and it's beautiful, unmitigated capitalism.
The reason it works? Americans are incredibly gullible, trainable, and so thoroughly bred to seek the best while also simultaneously seeking the cheapest that we can hardly walk out the door of the Dollar store without the overwhelming urge to spend $5 on a Latte.
America in decline? HA!
